MMJGA Goes High Tech

New Way To Keep Track Of Our Schedule

In case you missed it at our last update, there is a new way to track the ever changing MMJGA schedule!

Simply visit the MMJGA website and click at the bottom where it says "Google Calendar". Or you can click on the link provided under "Quick Links" to the left.

Training Continues

MMJGA Handles The Elements

We had over 30 first year caddies brave the elements last Saturday for our outdoor training. It was barely above 40 degrees but we had 7 Evans Scholars out there golfing and teaching our new caddies the tricks of the trade. It was a big success, but our work is not finished. One last MMJGA training:

Saturday, April 11: 3-5 PM
Theodore Wirth Par 3 Golf Course
1325 Theodore Wirth Pkwy
Minneapolis, MN 55422

This final training is MANDATORY for first year caddies! If you cannot attend, please contact Jack at 612.309.8884 or jack@mmjga.org. For those of you who have already contacted me, thank you very much!

We will be taking the test Saturday and you must pass in order to get a job. So STUDY YOUR HANDBOOKS! The MMJGA is held in high regard with our partner courses because we have very high expectations. So study up!

Pizza Party Date Changed

Mark Your Calendars

Be advised that we've had some changes to our schedule. We have added two Evans House events (see below) and our pizza party switched days. The new pizza party information is:

Saturday, April 18: 5pm
Broadway Pizza
2025 W River Rd
Minneapolis, MN 55411

We will be handing out MMJGA shirts & hats. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend. The event is free to parents and participants to attend. If non-participants (siblings) are attending, there will be a $10 charge per additional attendee.

Anyone planning on attending must RSVP to jack@mmjga.org by Thursday, April 16th.

Evans Open House A Big Success

Evans House Hosts MMJGA

We are thrilled to have the Evans Foundation at the University of Minnesota hosting an open house for all MMJGA parents and participants.

This will be an all-access pass into college life with a tour of the Evans House, a short presentation on life as an Evans scholar and a full Q&A session to answer any questions you might have about the requirements and expectations of an Evans Scholar.

Monday, April 20: 7 PM
Evans Scholar House
929 5th St. SE.
Minneapolis, MN 55414

This event will last about 2 hours and all MMJGA participants and parents are highly encouraged to attend. You must RSVP to jack@mmjga.org by Thursday, April 16th. Noticing a trend with RSVPing yet?

Evans Event - Part Deux

But Wait, There's More...

The Evans House is also hosting a much more casual event for participants only... sorry parents. This is a look into the social world of college with an evening of foosball, ping pong, pizza and a big screen TV.

This event is free and is a chance to hang out and have some fun with our college role models.

Saturday, April 25: 7-9 PM
Evans Scholar House
929 5th ST SE
Minneapolis, MN 55414

This event also requires an RSVP to jack@mmjga.org. So when you RSVP for the other events, you can can do it one simple email.
