Hello MMJGA Participants & Parents,
This is the first of many newsletter for the 2008 summer. For those of you who find email to be the best form of communication, this is for you. For those who don't check you're email as often, don't worry: I will continue to call. The weekly email newsletter is just a simple way to get all of the information down on paper.
Evans House Tour
Tour Time Changed
We are excited to have a tour of the Evans House at the University of Minnesota on Saturday, May 3 at 5:00 PM. This is a change from the original time, so please make note.

We will be providing bus transportation on the following schedule:
Morris Community Center (South) - 3:30
Oak Ridge GC - 3:45 (Hopkins)
Golden Valley GC - 4:00 (Golden Valley)
Urban League (North)- 4:15
Bottineau (Northeast)- 4:30
All Minneapolis bus stop addresses are listed to the left.
Please arrive to your bus stop early. Because there are so many stops, the bus will not be able to wait.
The event will only last an hour and it will be a great opportunity to meet some full scholarship students and see the lifestyle of an Evans Scholar.

- Training day May 3 from 2-4... bus departing for Evans House tour immediately following.

Golf With Goldy - U of M Golf Clinic
First Clinic of the Year
The University of Minnesota Men's and Women's golf programs will host the second annual "Golf with Goldy" at the Les Bolstad University Golf Course on Saturday, May 10th from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.

The event will start with a brief clinic followed by tips and instruction from members of the Gopher men's and women's golf teams, coaches, and Golf Institute instructors.
We will have transportation for the event with bus stops & times as follows:
Morris - 11:30 AM
Bryant Square - 11:45 AM
Urban League - 12:10
North Commons - 12:20
Bottineau - 12:35

Vans to the Courses
Starting May 17, we will have van transportation to the area golf courses on Saturday and Sunday mornings. More information to come in the next MMJGA newsletter, so stay tuned.
